Hi all

is it possible to import a downloaded Toast flac file direct into iTunes as a mp3 file? Previously I've burned the file to CD and then imported it. Is there anyway to avoid this?

Cheers

iTunes doesn't support FLAC, so you'll need to convert it to a compatible file format before you can play it. There's plenty of audio apps that can do this.

Edit: I've used Max (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/19873/max) in the past, it's pretty decent. It converts FLAC into MP3 very quickly, and can tag them at the same time.

you could use toast to create the cd iamge, then mount the image file, then itunes will do its normal thing with a normal cd...
