Hi ,
Ihave been using pcs and am seriously considering switching to a G4 powerbook.
I would primarily use it to produce and perform electronic music 'live".
I was wondering if anyone could help me with some tips & advice ,as I'm interested in purchasing a used G4 powerbook.
I am not computer tech savvy, but have been told to get at least a "1gig" processor
I would need it to have a cd/dvd reader / burner also.
I have up to $1,500, am I dreaming???
anyone know of any resellers in Melbthat they recommend.
any advice will bhelp
Cheers.

You're not dreaming at all. I know a band in Adelaide who use audio from an Apple iBook for their live sets. You'll have absolutely no trouble finding something suitable for $1500. Brand new iBooks start at $1599, so something at that price in the second hand market will still be quite good.
