Generally, how long does it take for apple to produce and deliver a powerbook?

I've been told, for CTO Powerbooks, around 14 working days.

Any idea of delivery time on a G5 CTO ?

My CTO 15" Powerbook took a total of 10 days from order to delivery. Not sure how you'd go with a G5, I'd presume a little quicker even - but the 2.5's won't be arriving until July.

If you log onto the Apple Store online and put in a dummy order it will give you an estimated build time that in most cases is very acurate, with the exception of new release products which depending on supply and demand can take a little longer.

But with a PowerBook being out for a while now you would expect them to be able to deliver on it reasonably fast.

Apple Store says it'll take 6-8 days for a BTO 15", but i've been waiting over 2 weeks and still no sign of it.... so don't believe everything the apple store tells you!

18 days and counting. Ordered on the 11th and still no news. When I called my Apple shop last Friday they said it hadn't been shipped. So it's wasn't even in transit after 2 weeks.
