I have an external 200 GB IDE HD which has stopped mounting. Disk Utility recognizes the name of the drive, and size, but errors when trying to mount. When I tried to repair the disk, I got this error: Invalid Volume header.

Verify and Repair disk “Server B”
Invalid Volume Header
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Invalid key length
Volume check failed.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error

I have tried TechToolPro4 with no luck. Any other suggestions?

BTW, the drive has about 170 of the 189 GB full, and holdes under 1000 files, all of which are between the sizes 100mb-4GB each (.sit, .dmg, etc.) If this drive cannot be salvaged it is no big loss, but I'm still willing to try anything to save what is on there.

Thanks!

Diskwarror might be able to fix it.
