Just a heads to people upgrading to iPhone FW 3.0 and own Rev A UniBodies

If you plan to use tethering over bluetooth it will not work :(

You will have to use the USB to enable tethering

I don't think Apple included a full BT profile/chipset in these machines.

I have a MacBook Air Rev A and i cannot get a bluetooth connection to work.

USB cable works fine though

EDIT: It MIGHT not work.. going to start digging around to see if more people have a problem

works via Bluetooth on my Rev A Air, slow so likely would do the cable unless I had no other option.

fair to say it is not easy to get them linked but also should add I am Vodafone and that maybe is working a bit easier

This is getting weird..

It works fine on my MacPro over BT and USB.

the funny thing is on the MacPro i have to type a pin into the iPhone to
pair it.

On the MacBook Air why i am pairing i get a pin code on the Air side but i never have a chance to type it into the iPhone.

Also this is on Telstra.. not that it should matter about provider.

I'll keep tinkering away :)

Good to know my iphone BT tethering works though.

Don't bother with the bluetooth. USB is so much faster and will make sure your iPhone will last for longer than one hour.

Big if you have paired it with the MacPro make sure that or the bluetooth are off when you try the Air or since they have been paired the phone will jump straight onto the pro.

Upgrade to 10.5.7. This Bluetooth PAN bug existed in 10.5.6, and was fixed in 10.5.7 (for me anyway. Rev A MacBook).
Works fine in Snow Leopard. ;-)

Works good and fast for me on a late '08 15" MBP with 10.5.7. It didn't work with an earlier beta on 10.5.6 though.

My MacBook Air is 10.5.7 so incorrect software is not the problem..

I noticed other people in other forums are having problems with BT and
tethering as well.

i guess there will be patches coming..
