Hi Guys,

Apparently the visual hub ppl have packed up shop and my copy seem to have disappeared. Does anyone know of a similar product, a 'swiss army knife' video converter as such?

In the short term I really need to convert a few .mov files to .flv to use in a web site flash player. Any ideas?

thanks

Having tried it myself, but there is this (http://www.macflvconverter.com/index.htm). It converts from FLV, but apparently can also convert the other way. Might be worth investigating.

Edit: Looking a bit more into it, it seems it's a link to iSkysoft Video Converter. The fact that they don't advertise this straight away is a bit suspicious, so might be best to treat this one with care. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

Plenty of places to get visualhub on the net? Why not just download a new copy as it works great!

Or there's Evom (http://thelittleappfactory.com/evom/). Haven't tried it myself, but it looks like a conscious effort to pick up where VisualHub left off.

Wasn't the VisualHub code picked up and reborn as VideoMonkey? Try looking for that.

Yep thats right... I've been giving it a go and it's not too bad. Still got a few bugs, but is converting for Apple TV format (H.264) with no problems (90% of the time).

The Visual Hub guy released the code and a guy made Video Mokey (http://videomonkey.org) with it
