Hi guys,

Just bought a 17" Macbook Pro, runs like a charm, but after installing Leopard, the airport just won't turn on!!!!!!

Have tried deleting and re-creating the "Location" in Network Preferences, no dice. Also tried doing a PRAM reset, didn't seem to help. I've udpated to 10.5.7, that didn't help either.

I'm out of ideas. Any thoughts????????

maybe it's because you udpated instead of updated !

seriously tho - did you buy a 2nd hand or a new MBPro?
cos anything after purchased after 10.07 would have had Leopard pre-installed

try going to your home folder/library/preferences/ and then delete
com.apple.airport.airportutility.plist

restart and try again.

if that don't work do a clean install of Leopard but don't preserve network settings.
(don't forget to backup Mail, AddressBook and iCal first)

let us know how you go
