View Full Version : Help me work out a price!

I have a 17" macbook pro im looking to sell on ebay, it has a 2.16 GHz intel core duo, 2GB ram, OS 10.5.6, 120 GB hard drive, and the battery was replaced last year. The problem im having in working out a price is the keyboard is damaged, the 'N' key and the arrow keys dont work anymore. So i have a wireless mighty mouse and a keyboard (most recent imac style one) that i will be including with sale as thats how i used it.

Any ideas on how much I should expect for it? It just sits in my wardrobe now so i should atleast get something for it.

You can probably get an idea of the current market value from: Mac2Sell - Guide to used Mac & iPod - Evaluation - Argus Mac, iPod, iPhone Occasion (http://www.mac2sell.com)

Usually their prices are a little on the optimistic side but will give you an idea of the price. Maybe take a few hundred $ off that price?

You might have more luck in this forum:
MacTalk (http://forums.mactalk.com.au/price-check/)

If I was buying, I'd only give you about $800-900 for it. Keys that don't work are not very useful for a laptop - it's essentially a desktop now with external keyboard, mouse.
