View Full Version : How can I skip forward or backward 10 seconds in Quicktime Player

I've been watching some TV shows on my Mac with Quicktime Player and Perian, however one thing that really frustrates me is sitting through those long boring opening sequences again and again. In other video players I've used, I've always been able to press an arrow key or some such to skip forward 10 seconds or so and avoid those lengthy intros.

Quicktime player doesn't seem to have that option, with the arrows keys just moving forward/backward frame by frame, and the FF/RW buttons simply don't work at all when watching a video that is being decoded by Perian.

Does anyone know of any hidden keyboard shortcuts or maybe something in Applescript I could use to get this missing "skip forward 10 second feature"?

Thanks
