I'm in the midst of writing another article, this time, about the iPod. It would be in an FAQ sort of style, as it's easiest for me to write and easier for people to find the answer they want :P

So far I've the following topics to write about.
What type of hard drive does the iPod use?
Does the iPod play WMA or Ogg files?
Do I need the dock to use USB 2.0?
Can I use my iPod with Windows?
How many songs does an iPod hold?
How long does the battery last before I need to recharge it?
I've heard the battery isn't replaceable and dies quickly, is this true?
How do I put songs on the iPod?
How long does it take to put songs on the iPod?
What different iPod models are available?
Where can I buy an iPod?
Do I have to use iTunes?
What else does it do besides play MP3s?
Can I use the iPod as an external hard drive?

Anything else I should add?

Do you know of any service locally that'll replace the ipod batteries when they die?

It might not be easy, but maybe we could do a research on the numerous iPod gear out there by either linking or quoting the reviews that we might think are very reasonable and provide a good feedback.

Do the varying capacity IPods weigh different? Im guessing not, but i'd be interested to know for sure. :)

The battery thing, I'd presume that any Authorised Apple Dealer can handle it? I'm not sure, maybe I can ring up someone and ask.

And your second point sounds like a good idea.. not too hard either.. like an iPod accessory review database? It would be quite useful.

If someone can start harvesting links, I'd be ever grateful :)

Actually, the 10 and 20gb iPod weigh 158 grams, where as the 40gb iPod weighs 176 grams.
Says so on Apple's iPod website here: http://www.apple.com.au/ipod/specs.html

I didn't know that, heh, I'll put it in the FAQ.

Well I've added the FAQ. Any comments on it?
I'm sure it could use some tweaking somewhere.... it can't be prefect :P
