Hi sorry for the dumb new question but what is meant by "your Apple ID"

Where do I find his ID?

Also on a PC I can hit an icon show desktop. Is there a show desktop for mac?

I think its go to do with registering your product for warranty and stuff.

This might help https://myinfo.apple.com/html/en_US/faq.html

An apple id is something you create with your email address.

Easiest way to create one is to open iTunes. Go to the iTunes Store. On the tope right hand side there is a Menu box that has 'Account" as a selection. Click on that. You will receive a op up window that says "Sing in to view account information". There is a button called "Create Account". See this page (http://www.apple.com/support/ilife/tutorials/itunes/it3-2.html)

To view your desktop. hold the function button "fn" and press F11

If it's an Alu keyboard you have to hold the 'fn' key at the same time. F11 on it's own reduces the volume.. Well that's how it works for me (straight out of the box)
