I apologise if this turns out to be a dumb question, but it has me stumped. The Apple website says that current university students can receive special discounts on one Macbook per academic year. I have clicked on the link to the Edu store, selected my university, go to select the Macbook I want (2.0 Alu Macbook with 4gig RAM) and it is the exact same price as at the non Edu store? Is there a trick to it?

Also, while I'm at it, is there a special link I should use from the MacTalk website to the Edu Store, so that MacTalk will receive a finder's fee type reward?

Again, apologies if this is a dumb question. Thanks for your help.

Hmmm... The spec in question comes up as $2234.99 here.

You should see discounted prices on the front page.

Maybe you have a cookies issue.

(I selected Monash Uni)

you can only get a discount on the previous gen Macbook, something like $150

it should be $80 of the 2.1 White MacBook, $80 off the 2.0 unibody macbook and $150 off the 2.4 unibody I think.
