Thanks Guys...no its not a trick question.
My other pc machines have midi connects, opticle etc.

This is my first Mac I could not see a midi etc or any other clearly digital audio input...I assumes it would have been usb but just wanted to ask to be sure.

Thanks.

Edited thread title to be less ambiguous and to remove confusion.

You have two options:

- A USB music keyboard, which will connect via USB.
- A MIDI music keyboard, which will require a MIDI interface. MIDI interfaces are typically connected via USB.

Easy :)

I have a MIDI interface and MIDI keyboard here, but if I was setting up something new today with only one keyboard (I have a few!), then I'd just go for a USB keyboard.

If you're after something fairly cheap, this would be an option:

Cool Marc Thank You. I just realised that some people may be thinking of keyboard or typing...but you got it.

Ok thats some help...my son in law owns a backline hire company so the keyboard is no prob I have around 50 to choose from! lol But I was not sure how to handle the nil midi interface.

Thanks Guys have a great xmas.
