I am a frequent user of NeoOffice.
Can anybody give me a heads up on the differences between this and the latest version of Open Office?

Is there any point in changing over?

Open Office performs better than neo office (which uses Java a fair bit).

Now that OpenOffice v3 is native there is no real need for neooffice in my humble opinion, I guess we'll see that neooffice has to offer when they release their version 3 beta next year in january.

Looks like I'll make the switch - faster works for me!

How do I know which file to download?

Index of /pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.0.0rc4 (http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.0.0rc4/)

i.e

BrOo_3.0.0rc4_MacOSXPowerPC_install_pt-BR.dmg

OOo_3.0.0rc4_MacOSXPowerPC_install.dmg

?

What is the difference?

I'm pretty sure the different files are localized language versions.
You should be fine with OOo_3.0.0rc4_MacOSXPowerPC_install.dmg :)

Hmmmmmm PPC.. the latest is an RC of sorts I recall. Intel is 3.0.0 final from memory.

Thus the 'rc4' reference in the file name...

Sorry - I assumed dolbinau was after a PPC version...
Is there a final version for PPC? - I know it is not "officially" supported.

I am after PPC, I think RC4 is the latest version so I'll give it a go with OOo_3.0.0rc4_MacOSXPowerPC_install.dmg.

Ironically I use Open Office on WIndows but Office 2004 on OS X at the moment.
