System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse Pane -> Keyboard Tab -> Tick "Use the F1-F12 keys to control software features."

yes that works but then that disables the screen brightness and volume buttons

in order to use those u have to press the fn key

any ideas?

set expose to function through hot corners...i never use F9, F10, or F11...just drag my mouse pointer to the bottom left, top right, or bottom right. much easier. or if u have a multi-button mouse (those with function keys), set it on those buttons.

the PB uses the function keys as short cuts to other settings

to use the actual function keys (and gain access to things like expose) you need to hit the "fn" key

I changed the expose keys to F11 and F12 on my PB and couldn't be happier. :D

your other option is to get a full size keyboad and use that...(it's what I do).

then function keys do what they are meant to do....
