Korg, one of the oldest names in the electronic music business, announced back in August a new trio of baby MIDI controllers - the nanoKEY, the nanoPAD, and the nanoKONTROL.

Well, the nanoSERIES (http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?a_prod_no=NanoSeries&category_id=8) babies are now shipping! Each of the three controllers come with free software -- Legacy M1le with the nanoKEY, EZDrummer Lite with the nanoPAD, and Ableton Live LE with the nanoKONTROL. Each software package can be upgraded to the non-Lite version at a substantially reduced price.

Whilst they're yet to reach Australia (Korg's distributor here, Musiclink, hasn't made any announcement or set an RRP) one of my musical worms tells me the first shipment will hit our fair shores either in the last week of November or the first week of December, and that the RRP will be close to A$100 for each one.

If you cannot wait, ThinkGeek (http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/musical-instruments/af36/?cpg=81T) have stock.

They are wicked cool little hacks! (I've ALWAYS love Korg gear and regret beyond measure selling my old Poly-800 in the 1980s :( )
