This photo was taken and posted via twitterific on my iPhone on Sunday arvo... at about 1,500 ft above sea-level somewhere near Jan Juc / Torquay. Not too bad... the helicopter was doing something like 220+ kph over the ground, and I had enough 3G coverage to get the shot and upload it.

For those following me on twitter (http://www.twitter.com/wineweek), you've already seen this.

One of the other guys who was in the chopper couldn't get a photo to send from his blackberry at the same time, over the Telstra network.

I wish the coverage in our house was better.. fucking Transformer outside our house is interfering with it I reckon

Yeah I have terrible Optus (Virgin) coverage in my house, step out the back or the front and full bars... Inner-north of Melbourne so should be in full coverage zone, but calls always drop out - and thats on my Nokia not an iPhone!

There you go you Optus guy's... to get good service all you need to do is buy a Helicopter:D

If it's giving you interference, why can't you just login with the default username and password and change the channel? Then you should be all good :D

heh, Optus is flaky but reception for me here in Perth is great. It's not often I'm out of coverage.
