Yes. As long as you have an iTunes Store account, and 2.0 firmware on your iPod touch.

Thanks do you know how I find out if I've got 2.0 firmware? And also if the applications that I've downloaded/purchased from itunes will automatically sync to my itouch when I sync music and tv shows?

In iTunes, check the iPod summary screen.

It's the software version. 2 = able to use the app store. Or just look at your iPod's home screen. It will have an icon for the App Store if it's 2.0.

As for apps, as long as you have 'sync applications' checked in the applications tab, iTunes will sync them along with your music.

You can also check by going to the Touch and tapping "Settings -> General -> About -> Software".

Also when you connect it will tell you that new software is available if you don't have it yet. Lots of redundancies.
