I'm guessing you're asking the difference between the X11 Xterm and the Terminal. It could be that the shell environment is not set up to know where to look for things in the X11 terminal, so that "man find" is not working.

In any command line shell, that is the interface that allows you to type commands and translates them into actions in a terminal window of any kind, the "path" variable isn't set so the shell doesn't know to where to look for the "man" command.

If this is all gibberish to you and it's your first time using terminals and shells, run out and buy "Unix for dummies" - it's a very easy way to learn how to use the Terminal.

PATH for xterm and Terminal are bellow
Termial = /bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin
xterm = /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/X11R6/bin

i still can not use "man" in xterm

what i need to set to use it?

1) Open terminal. Type "which man".

2) Open X11/xterm, and type in the command for man including the full path given to you from "which" in step 1.
