View Full Version : How to remove a splash screen?

24th October 2008, 08:17 AM
I bought and installed 1Password which is great. Then there was a free upgrade.
Now, the upgraded version has installed a splash screen that appears every time I start Safari or Firefox.

How do I get rid of that?

Edit ...
I have examined the message on a splash ...
It states that my version of 1Password (v2.4), which I bought as a part of a bundle, is not eligible for a a free upgrade to v2.6 and above.

I visited Agile's website and according to their upgrade policy

Paid license holders will get all 2.x upgrades for free.
As far as I can tell, I paid for my license and how come I do not qualify for the 2.x upgrade? I smell a rat ...
Sent an e-mail to customer support asking to clarify their statement about the upgrade policy

I don't see no splash screen...

Pics or it didn't happen :p

EDIT: Did you buy it as part of a special deal or anything? I would email them...

For a reasonable sized version.

Looks like you need to downgrade to below version 2.6.

The catch with most of those bundles is that you don't get free upgrades to new versions...

All purchased 1Password licenses should work with the current version of 1Password. The only exception would be the MacGems licenses that were given away for free. The MacGems licenses work only with versions 2.4.x and 2.5.x that are still available here:
1Password (http://agilewebsolutions.com/versions/list/one_password)

Send us an email to support (at) agilewebsolutions.com and we will find the license you purchased in the bundle.

My mistake ... went through my records, and yes, this license was part of Macworld giveaway.
I was under impression that I got this as a part of MacUpdate promo bundle.

Looks like I will have to get a paid update
