Hey guys,

Just wondering what the best / most popular p2p software you guys use is? I know for Windows i use Limewire Pro and Altbinz for usenet program.

Currently using LimeWire Pro for single songs, and Transmission for torrents (legal like uh... linux? :P)

Thanks guys. So, XFactor or Limewire pro? mainly for MP3's (Legal of course)

transmission is like an F1 car with petro, it will suck your quota down the drain in a night.

That thread is about 4 years old. Don't you think that it might be a little outdated? :p

OP, try and get your hands on the Mac version of uTorrent, the Windows version is arguably the best around. :)

As nobody has mentioned it, I'll bring up Acquisition, a Gnutella client like Limewire. However, Acquistion has a Cocoa UI.

if you're going to try Transmission I'd suggest going with V1.22 - I think the current version (V1.34) sucks up too much cpu in comparison!

There is a Soulseek client for Mac which hasn't been updated since 2005... but it still works (and works well)

Transmission (http://www.transmissionbt.com/) for torrenting my linux distros, Acquisition (http://www.acquisitionx.com/) for grabbing little patches and readme's and the like ;)
