What's the plan when my back up drive is choka?

1. Do I bin the old Time Machine Back Up file (assuming all is well) and somehow start a new one.

2. Re-format the external drive and start backing up again.

3. Buy a new external drive (please don't let this be the answer) and put the old one in storage.

4. Something else.

Many thanks

When the Time Machine HD is full, you will be prompted that it's going to delete a previous back-up it has stored.

You can then click 'OK' and subsequently have space left on the drive to back-up more data.

Thanks very much for that Chrsha01 - much appreciated (I should have guessed it would be something simple and user friendly like that).
