every single biometric fingerprint scanner ive seen is windows only.
i really really want one on my macs.
and the only one ive ever seen that is for osx is the sony 'puppy' HERE (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000094ADP/qid=1115030203/sr=8-10/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i10_xgl147/104-9562037-7123154?v=glance&s=pc&n=507846) but they never have any in stock on amazon.com so its not really possible to get a hold of one.

does anybody know of one that is osx compatible? surely there has to be one for macs?

yeh and they are only for Home use ONLY. ie. you can't use MS's biometric fingerprint read to log into a Windows Network.

It's only for Home accounts and Web Page passwords ...

Great having that nice security and it'll protect your home and not work stuff. I even had this confirmed by an Account Exec at MS, as I rang to show my disgust in the product, we'd just bought. We ended up getting a full refund.
