sup mactalk ;),

I've been helping an older lady get her head around her iphone. Unfortunately, she really struggles with using iTunes to manage it, and is totally stumped with the concept of having to convert the little AVI files from her digital camera to a format which the iphone can accept.

Is there some kind of mechanism (applescript perhaps? Or a plugin?) that can convert the AVI files in iPhoto to the m4v format the iphone expects?

Cheers,

Jeremy

Edit : by way of clarification, what i mean is that she is not really upto using visualhub to convert them and then adding them back into iPhoto/iTunes. It needs to be transparent and automatic..

VisualHub/iSquint can add them straight into iTunes after conversion - so all she needs to do is drop the file into VisualHub, go into iTunes and the add them to the iPhone.

Cheers Ant.

I did not notice that option, ever! She doesn't have visualhub so I'll install iSquint for her (just trying it out myself)

Thanks

Jeremy

Edit : Oh, and iTunes can automatically sync videos too. Hooray!
