Er, you might wanna be careful about sharing your Tiger online Seminar invite. Apparently you're only allowed 15 visits until it expires at the end of May. Read the fine print at bottom. "You can attend the seminar starting at 5:30 a.m. PDT on April 29."

This makes it 10:30 p.m. Melbourne time, according to my new World Time widget.

It looks to me like they've stuffed up the URL in the email, it looks like it could be truncated.
I was hoping it might just be my email, and someone here could help me out!

Pity, I was hooking up to the big screen, to sit back, and see how good the new video codecs worked... Oh well <_<

Let's see if you're right on the time zone issue -- I hadn't looked closely at the time, and just assumed that Apple Australia would be sending Australian info.

Well, I just finished watching the video and let me say, H.264 is sweet! 640x360 @ 24fps, averaging around 400kbps with the occasional burst up to around 800kbps. I cannot wait to start seeing more downloadable content available in H.264!

EDIT: speling :)

Thanks for the link. Wow, thatís so clear. ADSL 1.5. Took a couple of presses of the Play button. Learning a few things from the transmission.

Looks like everyone searches for Yosemite and Paris...

Thanks from me as well. Even on cable the video was a bit jumpy, but the audio stayed on right through.

Edit: The first time it ran it actually told me I needed QT7 in order to play the file - yes, I was in Tiger... I restarted QT, and it worked. Wierd...

Only other setting I changed was 'Show content guide automatically' - I had it off as I hate it, but I switched it on in case the streaming needed it.

It's back off again now... :)

I thought H.264 was able to scale? So depending on your link speed, was the quality you got..
