"Yeah PCs suck"

Fine I'll contribute. Aren't those screens nice? 2560x1600 are a lot of pixels, not to mention twice on one desktop. Certainly a similar setup would benefit me when webcoding so I could keep an extra few code windows open and visible while working.

Anyone know, does LG.Philips make the 30", like they do the 20?

Though if someone would like to give me 2x30" screen's ill test it. *nods*

for God sakes michaelbarnard its just a blardi windows system on the screen, who the hell cares what he puts on it. you make it sound like the screens are going through some kind of bloody torture (ooo help me please! im in terrible pain!) sort of thing haha. give it a rest - PC's aint all that bad!

im sorry and i know its a mac forum but when people criticise others for using the machines the way they want, why the hell would you care what they use it for?!

obviously i am still a windows user but so what!

 :D

Should that last comment qualify for explusion from the community? You have been (deep voice, think terminator) EXCOMMUNICATED....

Joking of course. ;)

Just as an aside, I'd rather use OS X any day. Needless to say.

A mate of mine, who's a PC nut, wants to do the same. The only reason he doesn't intend to use a G5 is that he's into PC modding and gaming.

You'd think if he had that much money he'd get a G5 as well...

Some people... :P

hehe. I'd get 2 for sure iSlayer. I mean. Might as well go the whole hog!

I think very soon a 20" is comming to my computer. If I was in the states I'd go the dell, but here they cost pretty much exactly the same amount :(

yeah id say the price drops on the apple 20" were to compete with the dell 24" which is around $1600.but the dell is ugle compared the apple cinema display

The right way to do it:

At least it's not as bad as the guy who carved up a G5 to put a PC in it. After reading the article, surely G5's aren't so loud that they'd prevent him from switching over.

Yeah, when I first saw it I just gasped. In my eyes it was like taking the Mona Lisa, ripping the painting out, and putting the painting of the dogs playing poker in its place :P

But I can see where he was coming from, considering he doesn't use macs, and it is a nice box to house a PC in.

ooda: What's the url for the mod? I saw the thing only half way through the mod when he had just put in the cooling system and everything was taped up.

He was lucky to get one of the early NVidia 6800's which had the special chip that allows them to drive the Apple displays, despite being a PC card. Later versions can't drive them as far as I know.
