Whats the best iPhone 3G case.

I'm having a hard time choosing between plastic or silicone. Mostly the plastic scratches it with the dirt that gets between the case and the phone. The silicone ones usually rub into the phone and leave grit marks.

I swear by the ZAGG Invisible Shield. It protects your iPhone while keeping it beautiful and minimalist.

Isn't there another thread like this somewhere?

I personally like the SwitchEasy Capsule Rebel (http://www.switcheasy.com/products/Rebel/Rebel.html). IMO the InvisibleShields are a good idea, but bloody frustrating to apply, ended up throwing mine out after failing miserably.

a tonn of them - when you click Search, also choose 'Search Topics only' instead of 'Search Entire Posts' and you'll get more results

I've got a Bodyguardz, which works well. I can vouch for invisibleSHIELD, too.

Yes they're tricky, but even the worst looking bubbles go away eventually.

I had a couple of bad ones that were gone within a month. I'd done one before the last application so I knew what the problems were and for various reasons, I ended up with bubbles in the middle of the back.

My advice is to make sure the corners fit & leave any bubbles in the middle... with use they'll just even themselves out and literally disappear! As i said, even if it takes a month...

I asked this today... well specifically about armbands for running (http://forums.mactalk.com.au/47/57707-armband-iphone-3g.html)...

Some helpful replies in there...

How long did it take for your case to come through?

I went for the SwitchEasy Rebel as well and love it. It got really good reviews at ilounge and true to form, their thoughts have not let me down again.

The Rebel is a damn good case that protects my iPhone really well.

cheers,

I have a Moshi pouch for my iPhone and love it. I also have both the Invisible Shield and Bodyguardz at home which I need to try out and compare.

I bought mine from RushFaster (http://rushfaster.com.au/), it took 4 business days from the moment I ordered it.

SwitchEasy have released a new Capsule Rebel-type case as well, forget its name tho.

Yup just bought the Crystal version of this from Rushfaster - looks awesome! I did have Invisible Shield, but after the first iPhone died and had to be exchanged - I did my money. So the next time I made I bought a case, at least thats re-useable!

Got myself a Griffin Wave case for iPhone 3G.

Seems quite robust, better than most of the soft silicone ones out there.

Got one of those as well for my black iPhone and it's awesome. Silicon ones were hard to get out of the pocket, and the clear plastic ones showed the scratches too much. Best of both worlds with this one.

Ordered mine online at 11am one day, it was at my local post office for collection on the following day. I've never had faster or better service from an online store.:thumbup: for Rushfaster :)
