View Full Version : Optus prepaid activation problem

Hi, Guys, need some help here. I bought an iPhone with a prepaid $30 simcard. I activated the simcard by calling online Optus and the lady told me she will send me an sms, which I never received. Nevertheless, I called again and another lady said it was activated and gave me the number.

Up to now, I am unable to use the phone for calls or sms or to receive any. I called the usual Optus number and got passed from one dept to another, with no results. Is there a way to get a quick solution to this impasse? The persons I spoke to insisted that the line has been activated and should work!!

I know it took two-three days for my activation to go through, and yes they did send through an SMS with my number. Are you porting over an old number, as that seems to be what held up mine.

Also try turning off the phone for about 30 min, then on again.
