Hi All.

Had a quick search but couldn't see if anyone else has this problem.

My iPhone 3G works really well, except hanging up calls.

Let me explain:

If I am on a call for 1 - 2 minutes, when I move the screen away from my face, the screen lights up and I can hang up pressing the red button.

Any longer than that and the screen stays dark.

It must be a setting somewhere I have missed.

I do have a case on my iPhone (Nu Form), which has a plastic, close fitting screen protector, but as it works sometimes, I am not sure if this is the problem.

As it was a bugger to get fitted, I haven't tried the phone with it off, just in case it is a setting.

Thankyou

I would try without the case.

It could be interfering with your proximity sensor.

If the case is covering the Proximity sensor, it will still think you face is next to it.

Ok will do. I just found out where the proximity sensors are located.

Next to the earpiece.
Tilt your iPhone at an angle, to the light. You will see it very clearly in the sunlight.
