I jailbroke my phone, and changed the OPTUS "in signal" notification to another word...

i restored my phone using the proper firmware...
and the custom signal bar is still there...

wtf? guys.

So you used Make It Mine, and after a restore that word is still there?

A restore doesn't necessarily replace all the files on your iPhone.

Really? I thought with the 200+Mb download and 30 - 60 mins install / restore time that everything would be refreshed!

Are you trying to remove the custom text?

I had this problem too, and successfully fixed. Download "Caption Crunch". There is a special version for carrier text. Then just hit the restore to carrier text, or you can type optus. Wait about a minute or so, and, Voila!

my method is actually quicker...

hit "reset all settings"

wont erase anything, but it got the OPTUS logo back
