I recently converted 3 music videosin iTunes that I had in iTunes library and when they were complete they had no sound.
Anyone else had this happen ?
Anyone know why ?
How to avoid this ? :(

What converter were you using?

I recommend iSquint (http://www.isquint.org/) for converting video, if they won't go on your iPhone try reconverting it using iSquint.

I second iSquint, or Visual Hub if you feel like spending some $. Also have a look at Perian (http://perian.org/), this will add any missing codecs.

i use visual hub and tubo.264 but i think that visual hub is slower but better so much more functionality. But Isquint is free and is just as good as visual hub

what format were they originally? I know I got the same results from converting .avi video to iPod compatible mp4 format.

Does anyone else find it funny on that iSquint site that they are making themselves look inferior to VisualHub?

I thought it was because they're from the same company. Get them in with the free but limited software, then sell them the better, more expensive version. It's marketing 101!

For PC I am using Any Video Converter Pro... Works well, the free version also does a good job but you need to manually create a custom profile for the iphone where as the pro version has a preset.

It also managed to convert my copy protected quicktime files (3D tutorial videos) into iphone videos...so thats always a plus

Otherwise the queue works well, just load all the files, select the preset and run

From original Post "I recently converted 3 music videos in iTunes"

Meaning I converted with iTunes

OK so I have Visual Hub and I would like to know what format I convert the movies to.
There is the option to optemise for iPhone, iPod etc but what actual format works on iPhone ?
I think it is MP4 would that be correct ?

For my Mac I use Quicktime Pro, and for PC I use the freeware Videora iPhone Converter software - both seem to do a great job
