I don't care about prices or plans or the 900 MHz issue. But which has better coveage in the city and suburbs?

In Brisbane, on 3G it's Optus.

I've had Voda 3G for ages - no signal at home. Tried Telstra - still no signal (brother in law works there too) Optus has 3+ 3G bars.

vodafones 3G and network in general is below Optus.

Up here in Regional QLD I know I get far better standard coverage than my partner who is on Vodafone but haven tried 3G yet cause I still need my damn iPhone

All I can tell you is what I get in eastern Melbourne:

- Two-three bars 3G inside the house
- Five bars 3G outdoors
- 2-5 bars 3G for most of the Lilydale/Belgrave line between Nunawading and Flinders St, with the exception of 1 bar 3G/3 bars GSM between Blackburn and Box Hill
