I have used mac and itunes for years and love it :)...when it came to putting ringtones on my new iphone...i got stuck :confused::confused:...i don't want to purchase songs i already have through the itunes store. i just want to use my existing library :(....can you please help me....

iTone will transfer the audio. use Quicktime Pro to edit or cut it.

Try in the iPhone and iPod thread, under iPhone software and Apps section there is a sticky with Ringtones that, some mactalkers have made and posted here to share :)

I bought that iToner program and it works great there is a way to rename them I think they are either .m4r or .m4a files, but renaming them didn't seem to work for me, they wouldn't sync with the iPhone

Garage Band allows is what you want

Garage Band '08 allows you to create custom ringtone up to max 40 seconds.

I am trying to do this on my laptop PC...not mac...so how else can i achieve this...

I couldn't find much in the way of the process for windows users
