Hey guys,

Not sure if you have come across this but, in random apps, Google Maps, Camera etc.. i get an annoying little pop up saying that it wants to you use your current location.

1) does this refer to the GPS?
2) can you turn it off)
3) or can you turn it on for all time so i don't have to see it again

Pretty sure I saw in the iPhone demo at engadget that there is a option to turn this off in Settings. Sorry that is as far as I can go, don't have one yet.

Doesn't that just make the answer "no" permanently? I'd rather it be "yes" permanently.

Initially I thought it was a cunning ploy from Mr Castlemaine to direct you to the nearest bottlo.....

There is no "yes" permanently.

Every application has to gain authorisation to use your location.

Changing location services to "no" in setting just turns it off for now. Any application that you allow to access your current location will turn it back on.

Once an app is authorised it shouldn't ask for authorisation again unless you have changed the settings in general to "no"
