i've spent all day googling and reading forums trying to work out how to do this but there are no instructions detailed enough not to confuse me. it is probably very simple but i just want to be sure.

i'm looking at buying an external monitor for my powerbook and while i am at it i figure it would be convenient to try and make watching tv on my powerbook an option too (i don't have a tv in my room). the apple store has the Elgator Eye TV Wonder USB 2.0. it has info about copying tv onto my computer but i just want to watch tv, will it let me do that, will it work with my powerbook (rev c) and will i need to get an antenna as well?

i wish i wasn't so technology challenged, thank you very much to anyone who helps me out and doesn't make fun of me :)

Yes It will also let you watch TV on your powerbook this page (http://www.elgato.com/index.php?file=products_eyetvmain&PHPSESSID=abdc72413026eb7e60da4381903793b0#) may help with features of the Elgato lineup.

Now I think there have been a few Powerbook Rev. C's. Do you have one of the Aluminum Powerbooks or the old Black ones? Or even better do you know what speed you powerbook is?

Also from Elgato's webpage, Memsol (http://www.memsol.com.au/) is the Australian Distributor of Elgato products (not necessarily the cheapest).

You should have no problems using it with your powerbook.

You could always go into and Apple reseller and have a look as quite a few of them have an Elgato of some sort hooked up.
