Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make Quark 6 actually put some data into a Postscript file? We are trying to export PS so that we can distill a PDF and all we get is a blank page.
Have tried restarting Quark, restarting the Mac, saving to the local desktop as well as the network. This happens quite often, and short of changing machines we haven't been able to come up with a solution.
I'm assuming this is a Quark 6 bug (5 used to do it a fair bit as well), but if there are any quick fixes....
Thanks all

have you tried exporting an EPS instead of the PS? then distilling that?

EDIT: Could you just use the built in PDF creator for quark? the files are a bit oversized thou.

Doh - didn't even think of the EPS option!
As for PDF from Quark - not really a good solution, the PDFs usually turn out to be pretty ordinary and sometimes have problems with our ApogeeX workflow.
Will keep the EPS in mind for next time though!

I've also noticed that Quark does this sometimes. Usually copying all elements onto a new page fixes it. Not a good solution for a multi page document though.

Quark also occasionally prints blank pages.

My solution... use InDesign ;)
(I'm really an avid Quark supporter... but it grows harder each day.)
