Hi - was watching a movie on my Macbook the other night, got half way through and went to bed. My PVR allows me to set a bookmark so that next time I come back to the movie I can jump to where I left off. Can Quicktime do this? Is there any other decent viewer that will allow me to do this?

Not the end of the earth.....but seems like a logical feature to have....

You can't set bookmarks as such, but one thing I just found was the ability to set a "Poster Frame", whatever that is. You have to save your movie for it to be saved, but if you select "As reference" and give it a new name when you do it only takes a couple seconds.

When you open that movie, you can select "Go to Poster Frame", though more than likely it will open up where you left off anyway. Those options are under the "view" menu, by the way.

You can try this applescript (http://www.juniortan.com/Public/MakeChapters.html).

There's also a bunch of useful scripts on that site.
