View Full Version : Time Wasting things to do on a Mac

Jaali

Heya,

Does anyone have any suggestions for some good time wasters that I can play on my Mac whilst waiting at airports etc...???

Windoze comes with Solitaire, Minesweeper etc... but all the humble Mac comes with is Chess, which, to be honest, isn't rocking my boat.

Any ideas for some small, free, mind-numbing, time-wasting games?

Cheers!

*lol*

I was going to recommend a game where you throw kittens through windows with a slingshot... (though more fun is to throw them up higher onto some spikes...) But then remembered it was a game I used to play at work on PCs...

Clay kitten shooting - not quite as much fun - the accuracy of the shooting seemed a bit off...? (and I don't just mean my accuracy)

I just found POV on the Apple website, and I am already addicted and very frustrated!

I've almost got it all ... only two levels on Hard left (only one block to get rid of, but I just can't figure it out!). I think I wasted 2 hours on it yesterday, but thankfully I'm on holidays so have the time to kill.

POV rocks, try swapping your methods - if you're subtracting from a full block and you're stuck then try adding to an empty field instead, or the other way round as applicable. I wish that there were a lot more levels to this one.

Right now I am being blown away by Flow Welcome to Flow in Games (http://intihuatani.usc.edu/cloud/flowing/core.html), it's been around for a while but I've only just found it.
Does anyone know how to download it so that I can play when away from the web?

Whoops, I just had a better look at the play window and there it is, I have now downloaded it.

This is a good free solitaire game: PySol Solitaire Home Page (http://www.pysol.org)

I have found it to be quite buggy running on 10.5.2 - lots of random application crashes.

If anyone is after a good free mahjongg game, try MyMahj. The developer's site is not up at present, but here's the link on VersionTracker
