Hi,

Iím wondering if anyone on this forum uses Autodesk products such as Inventor or AutoCAD on there Intel Macs. How does it compare to running the same apps on a PC? Do they run just as well or can you notice a difference. I know AutoCAD tends to crash on my work PC (Dell Xeon Quad 2 GB ram and a nice video card) occasionally, so I am wondering how the Intel Macs cope with the software.

Iím in two minds as to wether I should continue using my G4 for personal use and buy a PC to run AutoCAD and Inventor at home or if I should just buy an iMac.

Thanks for any feedback.

The Intel Macs, when running Windows, basically are PCs, so a Mac running Windows is exactly the same as an identically set up PC running Windows.

Here's a link to VMWare Fusion blog showing an Autocad demo.
