Hi there

I have a new staffer that has a Mac. It's been a while since I played with Macs on my Windows network at work. This guy isn't part of our company and is just leasing office space, therefore he isn't part of the corporate network domain as such. He does need access to a domain printer however.

Is there a way to provide access to this user without having him join the domain?

1. Go to print & fax preferences
2. + to add a printer
3. Click on Windows tab
4. Chose your network printer.

You will have to authenticate as a domain user, depending on privileges of the printer.

find the IP address of the printer and connect that way.

Does this guy have access to the network?..if so what kind of access is there (i.e. do you use VLAN's)
