View Full Version : Multi-room audio software?

Hi guys,

Let's say I have an 802.11n Airport Extreme network with a HTPC connected via ethernet with the home theater system in the living area plus a Mac in the study with a simple 2.1 setup (connected via Airport) and another Mac in the bedroom with the same kinda setup as the study.

Is there any software solutions to run multi-room audio over the network? Would be very handy for parties and just times when I'm walking around the house cleaning etc.

(Oh, and the PC in the lounge will be relegated to simply a file server soon and replaced by a Mac Mini so a Mac only solution is fine)

Cheers,

BJ

well itunes and the airport express...

or if you want audio from other apps look at airfoil from rogue amoeba...

you would still need airport express' or appletv's behind each set of speakers...

cheers

You can send audio to multiple AirPort Expresses simultaneously?
