View Full Version : My Mac just.... coughed?

I was sitting here, eating, minding my own business when my mac suddenly made a coughing sound through the speakers. Not a hacking cough, just a quick "cough". That's what it sounded like at least. No, it wasn't the rustle of the trash, that's different and distinctly un-cough-like. I immediately went to console and the "All Messages" and "Console Messages" have the following as their only message:
19/02/08 1:24:51 PM com.apple.quicklook[427] Tue Feb 19 13:24:51 TheComputer.local quicklookd[427] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image size: 3 x 0.

Usually those logs have more than one item in them too... so... anyone have any ideas what happened?

Wouldn't happen to be an intel core duo imac would it?

Mine does the same thing... It's a pop coming through the speakers... Apparently it was a problem with these models (mid 2006)

MacBook Pro, mid/late 2007. On a related note (to the console thing), the single thing in the log has changed to
19/02/08 1:41:51 PM com.apple.launchd[121] (0x10ca40.Locum[459]) Exited: Terminated
So I think I might restart and see if that at least fixes the console problem. I might start looking around for a coughing audio file... in case my MBP's supposed to do that.
