I'm just wondering if anyone here uses SpamAssassin 3 on a UNIX mail server?
If they do, would they mind posting their /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file?

All the options in it look really confusing :\

Our config will be a different to yours as its over many unix servers etc. Anyway they recommend reading the documentation closely or searching the web for forums that might be more specific to your set up.

I managed to get it all going. The message headers say they were checked, so yeah :P

However, I'd still love to see some *real* spam filters.
My local.cf is:

# How many hits before a message is considered spam.
require_score 5.0

# If spam is found, put ***SPAM*** in subject
rewrite_header Subject ***SPAM***

# Encapsulate spam in an attachment
report_safe 1

# Enable the Bayes system
use_bayes 1

# Enable Bayes auto-learning
auto_learn 1

# Enable or disable network checks
skip_rbl_checks 1
use_razor2 0
use_dcc 0
use_pyzor 0

It's only for 4-6 users, but I don't know if it's effective, as I haven't got any spam yet :P
