View Full Version : Turning Mouse Keys on?

20th December 2007, 11:31 AM

The iMac I bought my mum n dad appears to have a dodgy mouse.

It's not a huge issue, but just got me thinking back to school, when I'd turn System 7's equivalent of "Mouse Keys" on using a key combination (that I've long since forgotten).

I see there is a check-box for activating "Mouse Keys" by hitting Option x 5, but is there any other way to force it on?

Well, "there" unfortunately is 3000km away... :) I'm in Briz, they're in Horsham.

And actually - I only have 1 USB mouse! And come to that - I think there's only 1 of each of the previous mices in the house, too. My TAM kind of killed the need for mice for a long time.

1 boxy Mac Plus mouse
1 angular but flattish ADB mouse
1 rounder ADB mouse
1 USB mouse from my eMac
oh, and
1 ADB touchpad from the TAM

ah right :)

I dont know of any other ways of forcing it on without even using the mouse.

Maybe your parents havent plugged it into the computer at all :P
