I have just ordered two imacs and I want to link them so that one computer can hold the common files and the other computer can acess the files?

havent used apples since the late 80s.

both iMacs will have wireless and will see each other on the network. Just create a network on one Mac and the other should then be able to see it (the options are in the network settings for Airport) All you have to do then is go to System Prefrences - Sharing and check the box next to "File Sharing" and you're good to go.

If you want a faster connection then you can use a network cable or a firewire cable to link them both together but it will still work the same.
