Similar thing happened to my ibook, but i took it to apple and they tested the computer with another keyboard and it was normal, so its probably your keyboard dying or something...:thumbdn:

just take it to apple if you have warranty left!

it could be, im not 100% sure, but a similar thing happened to me and it turned out to be a dodgy keyboard.

Some computers don't even turn on when you open it out of the box! No technology is infallible :)

Go to System Preferences --> Universal Access --> Keyboard.

- check that "sticky keys" is deselected

Then click "show all" and select Keyboard and Mouse --> Keyboard Shortcuts

- click "restore defaults", see if this works
- if not, click "keyboard" and "change keyboard type", follow prompts

Other things ...

- try a USB keyboard
- restart and/or try another user account (or create a new one)

My MBP was doing the same thing for a little while, but now the whole keyboard just dies from time to time, and i have to hold down a key for it to come back to life. Sometimes it's a few seconds, sometimes up to two mins!
