GarageBand Help Needed

Hopefully, this issue can be resolved simply.
I have downloaded some loops in 6/8 time. When I imported them into GarageBand they show up as being in 4/4 time. Even if I open a new song and specify 6/8 time, the loops show up as
4/4 and don't work properly.

Any ideas?

Yay!! Figured it out.
Control-clicked on the original files and selected 'Open With'. Noticed I had a program there called Soundtrack Loop Utility (Must be part of Logic? I do have it installed..) Anyway, I was able to open each file and assign the correct tempo, time, beat number and descriptor to each one. Re-imported them into Garage Band, opend a new file, specifying 6/8 time, and there they were! And they all work properly. A happy ending.

Still, any further wisdom on this topic would be appreciated....
