View Full Version : Macbook Wifi Dead

Hi all I had a problem with my macbook wireless where it stopped. I thought it might have been the router so I reset it but that didn't help and all other wireless devices (6) work. I tried to connect to other wifi routers but all came back with an error message. I upgraded from 10.4 to 10.5 and the problem persisted, I did a clean install and again it happened in the same way.

So my question is, can I try something else and if not what is an estimate to get it fixed. Is the wireless card separate from the motherboard or am I replacing the lot.

Airport card is a separate part, but you would be best to drop it in to a service provider to get it tested before jumping to conclusions.

Check if you can ping the router and it would help to have an error message :P
