Hello everyone,

First time poster. Just bought my first Mac - MBP 2.2gHz. It came with Tiger but received the Leopard upgrade this week. Love the Mac as a long time PC user.

Anyway, here's my problem.

I acess the web through a School server (live on campus, long story!) I've had no problems in the past acessessing the school's webmail, gmail or hotmail when using Tiger on an old eMac. Nor did I have any problems with the new MBP when it ran Tiger. However, once I upgraded Leopard, if I click to got to these login pages Safari quits and just says there was a problem and do I want to relaunch.

Do I have to change any settings or is it a School server incompatiblity with Leopard and safari?

Any ides.

Thanks

sounds like Safari being an arse.

http://caminobrowser.org
http://getfirefox.com

try one of those browsers as a troubleshooting method.

Thanks very much disko - Firefox works no problems.

Looks like I may have uncovered another bug with Leopard!

Welcome to MacTalk. Nice MBP you have there! :)

I do the same thing - whenever Safari is playing up, Firefox/Camino usually fixes the problem.

Not sure you've uncovered a bug, but when Safari crashes, it asks if you want to file a report with Apple. If you were to, say, send me the report (cut and paste into wherever works) then maybe we could figure out why it crashed.
