I can't get wireless broadband to work after installing 10.5.
When running the app to connect, the modem is detected but doesn't try to connect. Then you can't close the app even with a force quit.
Any hidden firewall settings or something?
I performed the install of 10.5 on my 2nd hard drive, then imported all my settings etc from the other drive using the 10.5 install program.
Reinstalling the connection software doesn't help.

out of curiosity, what wireless broadband is it?

If its Bigpond NextG then thats probably why.

My suggestion to you is to use the modem script and dial manually by using *99***1# as the phone number and your username / password as the username and password. (If you can figure out how )

It will work better, less memory use :P

Yep nextG.
Modem script? I've looked in /applescript but can't find anything.
Can't select anything with a phone number in 10.5.
Options are ethernet 1 and 2, firewire, wireless, PPPoE, 6 to 4. I tried PPPoE without success. Modem uses USB.
I'll do some more searching for modem scripts.

Well I can now connect to the internet. I still can't close the broadband software and a force quit leaves the icon open in the dock.

I had to delete my passwords in the keychain that were transfered from 10.4 and try and try again.
